A Group of the African Diplomats in Sofia Was Established

A Group of the African Diplomats in Sofia was established at an official lunch of the diplomatic representatives of the African countries in Bulgaria on February 9, 2005, kindly hosted by Mr. Gerhard Visser, Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa. The Group intends to meet regularly to discuss matters related to the ties between Bulgaria and the African countries. A special guest to these meetings will be Mr. Petko Doykov, Director of Directorate Middle East and Africa to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who was also an official guest to the lunch. The diplomats decided the host of the next lunch at the end of March, to be Mr. Maxim Behar, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Seychelles in Bulgaria. Other members of the Group are H.E. Mr. Ossama Mohamed Tawfik (Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt), H.E. Mr. Mohamed Laala (Ambassador of The Democratic and Popular Republic of Algeria), Mr. Taher О.М. Benshaban (Chargé d'affaires of Great Socialist People's Lybian Arab Jamahiriya), Mr. Gerhard Visser (Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa), Mr. Abdullahi Hamad al-Azreg (Consul General of The Republic of The Sudan), Mr. Gospodin Gospodinov (Honorary Consul of the Republic of Ghana).
