The President and Vice President of the Republic of Seychelles Officially Assume Office

At an official ceremony held in Victoria on 26 October 2025, Dr. Patrick Herminie was sworn in as President of the Republic of Seychelles, and Mr. Sebastien Pillay assumed the position of Vice President.
Their inauguration follows the presidential elections held on 11–12 October 2025, during which Dr. Herminie, leader of the United Seychelles party, won 52.7% of the votes, defeating former President Wavel Ramkalawan, who received 47.3%.
The new leadership will focus its efforts on economic stability, social development, sustainable tourism, and strengthening international partnerships.
Mr. Maxim Behar, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Seychelles in Bulgaria, extends his warmest congratulations to President Dr. Patrick Herminie and Vice President Mr. Sebastien Pillay on their election to these high offices.
The Honorary Consulate reaffirms its readiness to continue supporting and strengthening the relations between the Republic of Seychelles and the Republic of Bulgaria, in the spirit of friendship, trust, and mutual respect.
