Entry and Stay Conditions for Travellers to Seychelles

As of March 25, 2021, the Republic of Seychelles has opened its borders to visitors from all countries, and the entry and stay conditions for travellers are irrespective of their vaccination status.

All restaurants, sports, entertainment and wellness places, and shops in the country are open and fully accessible to tourists in compliance with the relevant measures.

To ensure the safe stay of tourists during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, they must adhere to mandatory hygiene and anti-epidemic public health measures, which include:

- Mandatory wearing of face-masks that tightly cover the mouth and nose, both indoors and in all open spaces, excluding beaches. Failure to do so may result in a fine.
- Social distancing
- Regular hand washing
- Temperature measurement as you enter shopping centers, hotels/ residences, restaurants, public and private centers

Vaccination is not mandatory, but the Seychelles Ministry of Health strongly urges all individuals to get the coronavirus vaccination before travelling to the country.

Bulgarian citizens are exempt from the mandatory quarantine requirements after arriving in the Republic of Seychelles upon presentation of the necessary documents.

Bulgarian citizens entering the Seychelles should submit:

1. Negative COVID-19 PCR test done within 72h of departure from Sofia

2. Complete Health Travel Authorisation, which can only be found on this official government website: https://seychelles.govtas.com/

3. Valid Travel & Health insurance to cover potential COVID-19 related costs (quarantine, isolation, treatment)

As soon as you receive a negative PCR test for COVID-19, you can complete your health registration application. Travellers are required to submit scanned copies of:

- Valid passport
- Exact flight number, departure and arrival times
- Confirmed accommodation bookings for the entire stay (you must provide confirmed bookings for each night) or a voucher from a licensed tour operator
- The results of  the COVID-19 PCR test
- Certificate of vaccination is an advantage (if you have one)
- Credit / debit card should be also provided for the relevant minimum processing fees payment

Applications are reviewed in 9 hours or less.

When completing the registration, you can make a donation to the Seychelles Environment Trust Fund for the protection of their beautiful environment, as well as pre-booking COVID-19 test services for your return flight.

The Republic of Bulgaria does not have a functioning embassy or consulate in the Seychelles. Bulgarian citizens residing in the Seychelles for a short or long term may address apply the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for consular matters.

From 29.07.2021 to 31.08.2021, the Bulgarian Ministry of Health added the Republic of Seychelles in the "Red" countries list, based on an assessment of the prevalence of COVID-19 in the country according to criteria that can be found here :

Bulgarian citizens arriving from countries on the "red list" can enter Bulgaria upon presentation of a negative result from a PCR test conducted up to 72 hours before entering the country, and a valid digital EU COVID certificate for vaccination or certificate of recovery, if they have one.
